KARACHI, Aug 22: Carpeting of 60,000-sq-ft road in Block-19 of Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town has been completed under the directive of the caretaker of the town, Syed Fazil Ahmed Bukhari, according to a press release issued here on Monday.

Carpeting of all roads in this block has been undertaken. Some 350 tons of garbage has been lifted and garbage-dumping sites have been treated with limestone powder after being cleaned.

Mr Bukhari on Monday visited offices of the town administration and checked attendance register. He directed the staff to ensure their presence in the offices at 9am. He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against those showing negligence.—APP
