TAXILA: Funeral prayers of tent pegging champion Malik Ata Mohammad Khan was offered at Village Kot Fateh Khan of Attock district on Friday.

Former Chairman of Kot Fateh Khan union council led the funeral congregation. He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Kot Fateh Khan.

Thousands of people including his admirers, followers, relatives, notables and people from different walks of life attended the funeral prayers.

Prominent among those who attended the funeral prayers included Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Provincial Minister retired Col Mohammad Anwar Khan, MNA Malik Sohail Kamrial, Shakir Basheer Awan, former federal minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, MPA Jahangir Khanzada, former federal minister Ijazul Haq, former state minister Sardar Saleem Haider, DPO Attock Khalid Hamdani and a large number of his relatives from Kalabagh.
