KARACHI, Aug 20: Playing from East-West direction, reputed pair of Zia-Hamid Mohiuddin put up scintillating performance to annex the Mitchell Pair Bridge event with an impressive score of 63.41% on Friday. From the North-South direction, Raza Naqvi-Anwer Kemal emerged on top with impressive score of 58.41% in the event conducted by Karachi Bridge Association.

Pakistan Bridge University is launching Data Steel individual bridge championship on the eve of its first anniversary. It would be a two-day event. On the opening day on Aug 27, all the participants would be divided in to two groups. After first round, the top group of both the houses would be placed to play higher against higher and lower against lower.

The top 32 individuals from two groups would qualify for the final round, which would be held on Aug 28 and the non-qualifiers would play a separate Pairs Event.—APP
