Anwar to lead EAS in final

KARACHI, Aug 19: A 16-member Ebrahim Alibhai School (EAS) Metroville cricket squad is to leave for Lahore on Saturday to take on Government High School Nanakpura Peshawar in the final of PCB National School cricket championship final being played at Gaddafi Stadium on Aug 23.

Paceman Anwar Ali is leading the team. Other member of the team are: Ahmed Shah, Shabbir Hussain, Juma Khan, Younus Khan, Gul Zada, Ziaur Rehman, Arif Khan, Qadeem Khan, Mohsin Ali, Fawad Khan, Luqman Khan, Naimatullah, Qasim Khan.

Former international Saeed Azad is the coach while Sports Teacher Zahir Hussain Shah is manager of the team.

Ebrahim Alibhai School won the Karachi region final and also emerged winner in Zone “B” regional championship involving teams from Quetta, Multan and Hyderabad.

The winner of the final will travel to Sri Lanka to play against the winner of National School Champion of Sri Lanka later this year.—APP
