Politics as career

Published January 20, 2020

AS a teacher whenever I ask my students about their goals in life, they say they want to be doctor, engineers or armed forces officers. Some are interested in law, while some want to be businessmen.

No one wants to be a politician, the president of Pakistan, the prime minister, a member of parliament, a senator or mayor.

Our teachers at universities, colleges and schools should tell their students they can become politicians too, for they are the ones who make laws in parliament and are supposed to serve the nation.
