IT has been snowing almost daily the past week in many areas of Balochistan including Pishin. The snow though welcome has also brought many problems.

The people where snow has fallen are mostly poor with meagre incomes. Their houses and buildings cannot withstand much of the additional load put by the snow.

To make matter worse, citizens are facing long hours of gas and electricity loadshedding. This has made it extremely difficult to survive under a cold ceiling covered by snow from the top and no gas and frightfully expensive electricity to heat the rooms.

Although the Balochistan government is doing its best to clear the roads of snow and we are thankful to it. This is a request especially from the people of Pishin to reduce the long hours of gas and electricity loadshedding.
