CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao said here on Thursday that PTI government failed to secure the rights of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He was addressing a public meeting in Tarnab union council wherein known political worker Manzoor Janbaz announced to join QWP along with his family members and supporters.

Sikandar Sherpao said that provincial government was unable to get net hydel profit from the federal government. He said that a single penny could not be released to the province that showed the poor performance of the rulers.

The QWP leader said that federal government was also dragging its feet on the meeting of National Finance Commission Award to give due share to the province.

“The provincial government seems to be helpless in front of federl government. It is acting like a silent spectator instead of pleading the case of the province effectively,” he said.

Sikandar Sherpao said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be given its dues of net hydel profit as per AGN Kazi formula. He added that provincial government must not compromise on the rights of the province.

JUI-F: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl provincial emir Senator Attaur Rehman has said that differences among the coalition partners in the government are aftershocks of the million march of JUI-F.

Talking to journalists after offering fateha for the mother of former MNA Maulana Muhammad Sadiq, he said that 2020 was the year of elections.

He said that that role of major opposition parties -- PPP and PML-N -- in passage of armed forces chiefs promotions Act from the National Assembly was major setback for the people of the country.

JUI-F leaders including party’s former provincial chief Mualana Gul Naseeb, Maulana Mufti Ijaz, Qari Jehad Shah and district chief Maulna Gohar Shah were also present on the occasion.

KILLED: A vender was killed in a brawl over petty issue with other venders at Charsadda fruit and vegetable market on Wednesday.

According to police, Akmal, Tariq, Manzoor and Dilawar hit Obaidullah with a heavy weight after exchange of hot words and as a result he fell unconscious. He was rushed to district headquarters hospital where he breathed his lost. The suspects managed to escape after the incident.
