PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said on Monday that provision of residential plots to the deserving people under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHS) was the top priority of his government.
He stated this while chairing a meeting to review the progress on the housing projects, according to a statement issued here.
Adviser on merged districts Ajmal Wazir, principal secretary to chief minister Shahab Ali Shah, secretary housing Hassan Mahmood Yousafzai and deputy commissioners of relevant districts were in attendance.
The chief minister was informed that 40,000 kanals of land had already been acquired for establishment of CPEC City Nowshera, whereas the possession of additional 40,000 kanals was in the progress.
Mahmood Khan directed completion of the project on a priority basis. He said a comprehensive action plan should be formulated to ensure implementation of a housing scheme in Hangu, and the Peshawar Model Town project. The meeting was told that summary for Surizai housing scheme had already been approved.
