LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 17: District Returning Officer (DRO) Anwar Ali Khan has urged candidates and their supporters to observe the Code of Conduct during campaigns for the local body elections to be held in the district on Aug 25.

He was speaking at a meeting held at the district coordination officer’s office here on Wednesday to review the poll process.

The DRO urged the participants to ensure that no candidate violated the code and the polls were held in a fair and peaceful manner.

He also urged the contestants and the voters to extend support to the district administration and the election staff to ensure peaceful polling and maintenance of law and order during the polling.

The meeting was attended by DCO Kifayatullah Khan, DPO Sajid Ali Khan and others.
