High-tension towers blown up

QUETTA, Aug 17: Unknown people blew up two 132-kv transmission towers in Baghbana area of Khuzdar district on Wednesday night. According to reports reaching here, the explosive material had been planted around the towers.

Official sources, while confirming the subversive act, said that despite the incident power supply to Khuzdar township was not disrupted.

Soon after the explosions, officials of the local administration and law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site and started investigation. No causality was reported in the blast.
