No physiotherapist

Published December 27, 2019

PHYSIOTHERAPISTS help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health of people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

Naushahro Feroze having a population of about 1.8 million people is without physiotherapist. It should be noted with deep concern that people of this district are deprived of this treatment. Naushahro Feroze had facility of physiotherapy with equipment at the Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre. But it has not been functioning for the last two years for unknown reasons.

The Sindh health ministry, secretary and special assistant to chief minister, Sindh, on department of empowerment of person with disabilities, should provide the facility of physiotherapy to the people at DHQ Hosptial Naushahro Feroze and re-start Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre.
