HARIPUR, Aug 15: A ceremony was held to observe the ‘Local Government Day’ here on Sunday. Speaking at the ceremony held by the Village Friends Organization and the Women’s Voice, NWFP Local Council Board Secretary Rehmat Khan Ghazi said the Local Government Ordinance enforced in 2001 enabled the government to devolve power to the grassroots. —Correspondent
