Raids on for arrest of Imran’s nephew

LAHORE: A police team on Friday carried out a raid at the residence of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Hassaan Niazi in Cantonment area but failed to arrest him.

Mr Niazi was among the 250 lawyers booked by police for attacking the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
The police faced intense criticism for not nominating Barrister Hassaan Niazi in the two cases lodged against his colleagues in the aftermath of the PIC incident.

Constituted by DIG Investigation Inam Waheed, the team carried out the raid on Friday at the residence of Mr Niazi but he was not present there, said a police official. He said the police team was gathering information about the places he could possibly stay at to ensure his arrest.
