LAHORE, Aug 13: The Islami Jamiat Talaba took out a torch-bearing procession on the New Campus in connection with the Independence Day on Saturday evening. Speaking on the occasion, PU IJT Nazim Allah Bakhsh Leghari and secretary-general Nasrullah Goraya said the nation should celebrate the day to remember the people who had sacrificed their lives to achieve a separate homeland.

They said the rulers should follow in the footsteps of the Quaid-i-Azam and take measures to ensure rule of justice in the country.
