KARACHI, Aug 12: A young man died and 14 passengers were injured in two road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday. Police said a pedestrian was knocked down by a rashly driven coach at Shorab Goth traffic section.

The victim, identified as Nazeer Ali, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said the errant driver escaped from the spot following the accident. The victim was a resident of Safoora Goth.

In another accident, 14 passengers of a Karachi-bound bus (JE-7246) were injured when it collided with a trailer(LGC-5748) on Super Highway.

The passengers were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed and JPMC for treatment.
