MANSEHRA: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday telephoned Mufti Kifayatullah, who is admitted to a hospital here after having been injured in an attack a few days ago.

Mr Rehman said that those behind the attack should immediately be arrested and taken to justice. “We cannot tolerate such attacks on any party office-bearer and police should arrest those behind the attack,” he added.

Meanwhile, local residents raised slogans in support of Pak Army when Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen arrived at the King Abdullah Hospital to enquire about JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah on Sunday.

The residents, who had assembled at the hospital after hearing the news about the arrival of Mr Pashteen, raised pro-army slogans, praising its role in safeguarding the motherland and fighting militancy and terrorism in the country.

The protesters started chanting slogans in support of army when Mr Pashteen left hospital in his vehicle for Peshawar.
