KARACHI, Aug 11: Three ships carrying diesel oil, chemicals and containers were allotted berths at QICT, Fotco Terminal and EVT during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with seeds and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 67 per cent as six ships, Sealand Express, Gallant Wave, Precious, Sutra Lima, Sinar Sabang and Keefan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, chemicals and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 50,233 tons comprising 36,879 tons of import and 13,354 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Sealand Express, Gallant Wave and Sutra Lima left the port while Sinar Sabang was due to depart.

Four ships, China Star, Sitakathrine, Gemini and Jain She-35, carrying containers, diesel oil and edible oil were expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday.
