Imaad excels as Pakistan clinch World Scrabble

KARACHI: Shan­grila Pakistan team won the Junior World Scrabble Champion­ship in Torquay, England on Sunday, thanks to a truly brilliant performance yet again by young Syed Imaad Ali who became the the youngest JWSC winner in history at just 13.

He is only the second player ever to win two major youth titles. The top three positions were claimed by Pakistani players as Daniyal Sanaullah was the runner-up and Hassan Hadi Khan finished third. Pakistan team successfully defended five of the six age category titles.
