CTD arrests three suspects in Punjab

BAHAWALNAGAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Friday to have arrested three suspects in two raids in parts of Punjab.

A team of the CTD arrested two suspected terrorists allegedly linked with banned outfit Islamic State on Jattowala Road.

According to a CTD spokesman, Haseeb Javed and Saeed Akbar planned to attack sensitive installations. Explosives and detonators were recovered from them.

SIALKOT: At a search operation near Kotli Bhutta village, Ziarat of the banned TTP was arrested. Officials said the suspect was planning attack on an agency and explosive material and hate literature were recovered from him.
