Maqbool off to Norway

LAHORE, Aug 9: Governor Khalid Maqbool left for Norway here on Tuesday to attend Pakistan Day celebrations in Oslo. Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Afzal Sahi would act as acting governor in his absence abroad.

Meanwhile, the speaker was administered the oath by Lahore High Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Husain Chaudhry at the Governor’s House.

The ceremony was attended by members of the provincial cabinet, MNAs, MPAs and senior government officials.
