KARACHI: There won’t be a significant drop in the city’s temperature in the next few days, though a strong westerly wave is affecting parts of the country, said a Meteorological department spokesperson on Thursday.

“City’s temperature has dipped slightly because of the cold wave descending on lower parts of the country,” said Sardar Sarfaraz representing the Met department, adding that the upper areas were experiencing rain and snowfall.

According to him, the minimum temperature so far recorded for the month of November in Karachi is 16.8 degrees Celsius.

“I think the current weather condition will persist for a few days and if the temperature drops a bit more, it can’t be described as an unusual weather condition,” he said.

The minimum and maximum temperatures recorded on Thursday were 23 and 33.8 degrees Celsius.

Humidity was 23 and 25 per cent in the evening and morning, respectively.
