GUJRAT: University of Gujrat Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Shabbar Atiq has been given yet another additional charge of the VC of University of Mianwali despite holding the additional charge of the same post at Punjab University of Technology Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin.

In a notification issued by the higher education department on Oct 24, the governor assigned the additional charge of the Mianwali university VC to Mr Atiq for six months or until appointment of a regular incumbent.

Mr Atiq now holds charge of the VC of three public sector varsities.

Meanwhile, the government had already announced establishment of a public sector

university in Mianwali, the native town of the prime minister.
