RAWALPINDI, Aug 6: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has approved grant of Rs699 million to ensure uninterrupted water supply to all areas of Rawalpindi and Chaklala cantonment boards.

As per details, the amount would be spent on the completion of Khanpur Dam phase-III project under which water tanks with storage capacity of up to 0.2 million gallons will be built and pipelines laid in the cantonment area.

The planned project, which is aimed at ensuring water supply to the said areas, is estimated to take three years for completion.—Online
