KARACHI: Park inaugurated

KARACHI, Aug 6: The government is taking effective steps to ensure pollution-free environment. This was stated by Sindh Local Government Adviser Waseem Akhtar on Saturday while speaking at the inauguration of a family park at Sirajuddola Road, built by Bahadur Yar Jang Cooperative Society.

He said that timely completion of the projects, like parks, green- belts, roundabouts and playgrounds is being ensured.

The park is spread over 4160 square yards, and Rs3 million have been spent on its development. The cost has been borne by the society.

The adviser praised the efforts of the society for constructing the park, and said it should serve as a model for other societies.

Dr Faheem Ansari and Mehboobul Hasan also spoke.—APP
