Royal visit

Published October 19, 2019

THE visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is a development that will go a long way in promoting Pakistan’s positive image to the world.

A tweet by Kensington Palace about the royal couple’s visit says it will shed light on the historical ties between Britain and Pakistan and showcase the Pakistan of today.

Our tourism mandarins should use the visit to showcase our country and tourism potential to the world. I feel we should avail this opportunity of hosting international travel bloggers visiting the country and enjoying every bit of their journey.

The government must improve tourism opportunities and promote the scores of famous tourist spots and natural sites all over Pakistan. Tourism has the potential to earn billions of dollars for the country and provided employment to thousands of people.

One hopes the royal visit will portray the image of a peaceful Pakistan and the international community makes the country a preferred holiday destination.
