ISLAMABAD, Aug 5: The Central Selection Board (CSB) would meet on Saturday (today) to recommend promotions to BPS-20 for 144 positions, an official said here on Friday.

The meeting would be chaired by the Federal Public Service Commission chairman, Lt Gen (retd) Jamshaid Gulzar Kiani.

The CSB meeting that is likely to continue till Tuesday (August 9) would consider cases of 432 officers eligible for promotion.

Recommendations for promotions are made on the basis of individual career planning (ICP) charts, proper quantification and history cards of the officers under consideration.

These officers belong to police; customs and excise; income tax; postal services; commerce and trade and railways occupational groups. Certain promotions for ex-cadre and technical positions would also be considered.

In addition to the regular agenda of recommending officers for promotion, the board would this time be having the special item of reviewing supersession and deferment policy.
