LAHORE: The city district administration has directed the private schools’ owners to submit record (vouchers, bank statements, receipts etc) of monthly fee since 2017 to date within one week.

The admin has also desired immediate study of the private schools’ fee structure in the light of the 2017 verdict of the Supreme Court aiming to give relief to the parents, according to DC Muhammad Asghar Joyia.

“Since we have to ensure receipt of monthly fee by the schools from the parents in the light of the apex court’s decision, you need to immediately issue notices to the private schools’ owners in this regard. Similarly, the owners must submit the record related to monthly fees for the period (2017 to date),” Mr Joyia said while presiding over a meeting of the district education authority here on Wednesday.

He directed the authority to summon the owners, allegedly involved in receiving fees in violation of the court order, on Oct 5 (Saturday) at Nadir Hall.

“The schools must follow court’s decision and the government directions in this regard, failing which they will be penalised under the law,” he warned.
