BAHAWALPUR: One hundred and eighty-three sacked work-charged employees of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) were reinstated following court orders.
According to the BVH medical superintendent, the workers were dismissed from service on the government orders.
The court issued orders for their restoration after which the BVH administration allowed them to resume duties.
INJURED: A schoolteacher suffered serious wounds in an attack by two unidentified motorcyclists on Jail Road here on Tuesday.
According to police, Muhammad Arif was targeted by two motorcyclists who opened fire on him and fled from the scene.
A shopkeeper called Rescue 1122 that shifted Arif to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) where his condition was stated to be serious.
City DSP Shafqat Atta said the cause of the incident seemed to be an old enmity.
Police said Arif was still unconscious at the BVH and a case would be registered against the attackers when he would regain consciousness and give his statement.
