KARACHI: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man on charges of killing his neighbour in the name of so-called honour in Surjani Town.

They said that suspect Faisal was arrested for killing Shaheen with a hard and blunt weapon.

SSP-West (Investigation) Abid Baloch said that the deceased allegedly had illicit relations with the suspect’s wife.

She had left him around one month ago and was living at her sister’s home. Shaheen had given her a SIM card and they both talked with each other for hours. The investigators had also obtained their call data record.

Shaheen’s wife had left him about a week before his murder when she came to know about the affair. The police said that Faisal had ‘confessed’ to the murder.
