KARACHI: The Solidarity Cup is the main attraction of the Gymkhana race meeting when it takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The Solidarity Cup, which is also day’s feature event and is the third race in the order, combined top scale order III, IV and V to be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs, has a field of seven horses including a debutant from Lahore Chota Raja.

According to officials, the debutant has come here from Lahore 10-day ago as Sayban-e-Bhakkar and its local owner has renamed it Chota Raja.

The fourth and the last race which is supporting event scale order VI also has seven starters and will also go over similar distance of four-and-a-half furlongs.

The first two races will be of lowest scale order and run over four furlongs. Seven horses will face the starter in the opening race while six will feature in the second. Formerly Aie Muskan will run under new name of Dam Dama Dam in the second race.

Altogether, 27 horses have entered the fray and will appear barring last-minute withdrawal(s). The first race starts at 4:00pm.
