Metropole Hotel

Published September 22, 2019

METROPOLE Hotel is more of a memorial than an ordinary hotel. Many couples had their wedding vows and parties there. It had several offices, and it still has post office.

Many people have pleasant memories of this hotel. Situated near Jinnah House and Bagh-i-Jinnah, it is a heritage sight and a landmark. This beautiful hotel will vanish if it is demolished and converted into a park.

It will be better if this structure remains in its original form, a few more storeys added. It is also suggested that there should be parking beneath the roundabouts, and Metropole too should have an underground parking lot.

Let it shine in its glory once again with a new look, having a luxury banquet hall while giving a re-birth to Palace cinema on its third floor with a modern food court and a recreation centre for children, besides a mini library.

As for Frere Hall park, let it become more beautiful by adding modern swings for children.
