ABBOTTABAD, Aug 1: Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Amanullah Khan Jadoon on Monday said that natural gas would soon be provided to every household in the country. Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of a project aimed at supplying Sui gas to the Bandi Sanjilian town here, he said the project would be completed at a cost of Rs130 million.

The minister said the government had already extended the facility to many new towns recently, adding that the Sui Southern Gas Company and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were providing 200,000 gas connections every year. Referring to President Pervez Musharraf’s address, Mr Jadoon said electricity and drinking water would be provided to each and every town by 2007. He asked people to cooperate with the government in the completion of these projects.—APP
