TAXILA: Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital has received two confirmed and 233 suspected dengue patients.

According the local health authorities, the dengue patients were identified as 50-year-old Sanaullah, a resident of Wahdat Colony, and other 19-year-old Danial from Asifabad area.

While confirming the figures the anti-dengue teams’ in-charge Israr Ahmed told Dawn that as per health department SoP, besides fogging in high risk area especially Sarai Kala, Wahdat Colony, Asifabad and Jameelabad, indoor residual spraying (IRS) has been also carried out around the houses where dengue mosquito larva was found.

Moreover, medical experts have advised the citizens of Taxila and Wah to take special preventive measures to protect themselves against dengue virus.

Clinic sealed

The district health authorities in collaboration with local administration launched a crackdown on quacks and sealed a clinic in village Gulyal and arrested a fake doctor.

A case has been registered against the accused under 188, 419, 420 PPC and section 28-A, 28-B of Pakistan medical and dental council ordinance and Punjab health care commission act 2010.
