TOBA TEK SINGH: Progressive Farmers Association President Chaudhry Rashid Farooq and former union council chairman Mian Arshad Jamil have demanded that the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) chief executive officer segregate eight villages of Toba Tek Singh district from Jhang Fesco division which are supplied electricity from Jhang and to supply power to said villages from Toba Fesco division.

They told a press conference on Thursday that villages of Chuttiana area - 400 JB, 402 JB, 403 JB, 405 JB, 406 JB, 407 JB, 409 JB and 305 GB - were supplied electricity from the Shorkot FESCO subdivision and long distance resulted into low voltages to these villages. Thousands of residents of these villages were unable to use their electric fodder cutting machines, electric water pumps, refrigerators and other appliances.

They claimed that due to low voltages, water supply to the houses and mosques was impossible and residents were forced to fetch water from other areas for drinking and their animals.

They demanded a separate supply line for the eight villages from the Chuttiana grid station and separation from the Jhang Fesco division.GAS: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Managing Director Mahmood Zia Ahmad says the Faisalabad University of Agriculture, Toba Tek Singh sub-campus, will be provided gas facility very soon.
