LAHORE: A woman was hospitalised with multiple injuries after her husband allegedly tortured her over some issue in Mustafa Town on Thursday.
Identified as Kainat Bibi, the woman suffered bruises on her face and other parts of the body, a police official said.
Quoting her statement, he said, Mudassar had two other wives and he would beat her (Kainat) over petty issues. He clubbed her on Thursday as a result of which she suffered injuries.
The police were awaiting medical report to take action against the suspect who fled when relatives of Kainat called police 15.
