Tribesman killed in clash

SUKKUR, July 26: One person died and another kidnapped in an armed clash between Chachar and the Sundrani tribesmen in the Andal Sundrani village, Ghotki district, on Tuesday evening.

Police sources said that both groups had been fighting for many years over a piece of land.

In Tuesday’s clash all kinds of firearms were freely used.

According to the police, Chachar tribesmen launched an attack on the Sundrani village, and started firing on them. The Sundranis returned fire.

The clash continued for an hour as a result of which Abdul Rahim Sundrani died. Hamid Ali Sundrani was reportedly missing after the clash.

Police said that the Chachar tribesmen might have kidnapped him.

However, no arrest were made.
