RAWALPINDI: An 11-year-old girl was raped by a motorcyclist in the limits of Sadiqabad police station on Wednesday night, police said.

The victim’s father complained to the Sadiqabad police that his daughter went to a nearby grocery shop to buy some sweets but did not return.

He said he started a door-to-door search along with family members and also inquired about her from shopkeepers, but did not find any clue of her until she returned sobbing at 9:30pm.

He said his daughter told him that she was picked up by a motorcycle rider who took her to a deserted place and threatened to kill her with a knife, if she cried for help.

She told her father that she was raped by the man who later dropped her at the corner of the street and sped away. She could not identify the suspect.

The girl was taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where her medical examination confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
