SIALKOT/NAROWAL: Heavy rain on Tuesday inundated the building of Zafarwal police station and policemen remained busy in draining out the water.

Widespread rain lashed the entire Sialkot and Narowal region and inundated the low-lying urban and rural areas in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur and Zafarwal tehsils.

It remained [dark] cloudy and people, including youth and children, came out on roads and streets during cloudburst.

In Narowal, Afzalpura, Chowkhandi, Khwajgan, Karbla Morh, Main Bazaar and Hajwer Colony were submerged by rainwater. Many areas of the city and Shakargarh tehsil came under rainwater. The showers exposed the performance of Municipal Committee Shakargarh. When one enters Shakargarh city, there is one to two feet water around Bab-i-Shakargarh.

The Zafarwal police station personnel were seen draining out the rainwater. Meanwhile, the paddy growers have warmly welcomed the rain.
