KARACHI, July 24: The demolition squad of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) demolished illegal constructions under the supervision of the KBCA controller at various places besides cancelling the license of a builder.

According to a statement on Sunday, the squad demolished the boundary walls and the RCC pillars of house no A-2/1 in Sector 16/A of North Nazimabad.

Some illegal constructions, built on an open space on the first floor in bungalow no E-09 in Block-8, Scheme 24 in Gulshan-i-Iqbal were also demolished.

Demolition work was also done on plot no A-69 in Block-15, Sector 36 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Besides the said demolitions, the KBCA also cancelled license no BL-2311 of Dilshad Builders and Developers, working on a project named ‘SARA Residency’ in violation of building laws.

The KBCA also issued a show-cause notice for causing delay in giving possession of houses to the allotees of a project at Data Nagar in Bin Qasim Town.

All demolition works were supervised by the controller, deputy controller and other officials of the KBCA.—APP
