LODHRAN: Interest-free loans were provided to 144 people, including women, for small enterprises under the Ehsas Programme here on Wednesday in Dunyapur.
NGO Farmers Development Organisation distributed cheques totalling Rs5.1 million among 144 borrowers in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund under the Ehsas Programme initiated by the federal government.
The borrowers hail from four union councils - Dehi Dunyapur, 342-WB, 386-WB and Makhdoom Aali of Dunyapur tehsil.
FDO programmes head Muhammad Waqas told Dawn that the borrowers would participate in the inaugural ceremony of Ehsas Programme to be held on July 5 at Prime Minister Office, Islamabad.
