Over 100 suspects taken into custody in Balochistan

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Police have arrested more than 100 criminals in an operation in Dera Murad Jamali, Manjo Shori, Notal, Baba Kot, Chatter, Mir Hassan and Fholji areas.

Briefing reporters here on Sunday, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shahab Azeem Lehri said that the Nasirabad district police had succeeded in arresting these outlaws with the cooperation of Sindh Police.

Deputy Commissioner of Nasirabad Zafar Jan Mohammad Shai was also present at the media briefing.

Mr Lehri claimed that the arrested outlaws were involved in cases of murder, attempt to murder, road robberies, car and motorcycle snatching and other crimes and seven cases had been registered against them.

He said four TT pistols, hundreds of rounds, eight magazines, seven stolen bikes, 315 kg of charas and 300 packets of Gutka were seized from the possession of the arrested suspects.

“Protecting lives and property of the people is our duty and we are making all out efforts in this regard,” the DIG said.

The Nasirabad deputy commissioner said that the police and local administration were determined to maintain peace and order across the district. He said local political leaders were also cooperating in eliminating the crime from the district.
