KARACHI: A proclaimed Hur offender named Mir Mohamed, who has been wanted by the police for a number of crimes including the murder of the late Mr. Allah Bux Soomro was arrested within the precincts of the Karachi Jail yesterday [June 15]...

Lodged in Karachi jail is another Hur convict named Khushi Mohamed Bhayo, who is under sentence of death for the Allah Bux murder. Under an assumed name and posing as a relative of the convict, Mir Mohamed, the wanted outlaw obtained permission for a routine interview with Khushi Mohamed Bhayo. What he wanted to discuss with the convict is not known, but no sooner had the interview concluded than the police pounced upon Mir Mohamed and arrested him.

Recently there was a conspiracy by some condemned prisoners including two of the assassins of Mr. Allah Bux to escape from Sukkur Jail with the aid of some outsiders. Mir Mohamed is believed to have been one of the abetting conspirators.

[Meanwhile, it was reported from Karachi that] as a sequel to the murder of a mounted police constable named Abdul Majid at the village of Underolal, collective fines amounting to Rs.20,000/- have been imposed on the Hingoro tribe in about 12 villages in the Hyderabad District.
