RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has introduced new procedure for water connections.

According to Wasa spokesman, with the introduction of new procedure, the people will get the water connection without any hurdle within 10 days.

He said new rules would also end complaints that Wasa sent water bills to the residents who even did not have water connection.

He said under the new rules record of consumers and connection details would be computerised.

The spokesman said a new connection seeker would submit an application at the facilitation centre, which would send it to director, water supply. He will issue a demand note if water is available in the relevant area.

He said the procedure would complete within 10 days of submission of the application.
