LAHORE, Jan 13: Over 1,500 Punjab government employees await allotment of houses in the housing colonies in the provincial metropolis.

As many as 3,621 employees have been provided with official accommodation in six clusters of the Government Officers’ Residences (GORs), Wahdat Colony, Poonch House and the Chaoburji Quarters.

The number of employees desirous of being provided official residential accommodation is much larger but only a little over 1,500 have been registered at the Estate Office.

Others visiting the office for registration are informed that the waiting list is closed.
