LAHORE, Jan 13: Two women were murdered over domestic issues in two different parts of the city late Saturday night and Sunday.

In the first incident, a woman was throttled by her husband in Sattukatla on Sunday.

Her father Safdar told police that he married his daughter Uzma, 22, to labourer Saddiq three years ago. He said that Saddiq had four children from his first wife. Uzma did not want to live with the children. The couple quarrelled over the issue, he said.

On Sunday, Saddiq throttled her following an argument. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. The police claimed to have arrested Saddiq and registered a case.

In the second incident, a man allegedly shot dead his sister in Qazi Town late Saturday night.

Fatima told the Sabzazar police that her son Sanaullah demanded jewellery from her daughter Samina, 20, to make an investment in business. Samina refused him and he shot at and injured her. She was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

A case in this regard was registered against the accused with no arrest.

FALLS TO DEATH: A boy died after falling from the roof in Qila Lakhshman Singh on Sunday.

Imran, 15, was catching a kite when he fell down. He was taken to hospital where he died. The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

DIES: The man who was found unconscious in Islampura a couple of days ago died in the Mayo Hospital on Sunday.

Javed, about 45, was brought to the hospital by an unidentified man in coma. No whereabouts of Javed were known.

The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. Police are investigating in this regard.
