KARACHI: Cleanliness in Landhi

KARACHI, July 20: A cleanliness campaign has gone underway in Landhi Town as stocks of garbage were removed from various spots and disposed of at different landfill sites. According to a statement on Wednesday, as many as 350 sanitary staff removed garbage with the help of machinery from different areas of UC-10 and UC-7 of Landhi.

It added that Administrator Landhi Town Muhammad Nazir Lakhani, A.T.O Solid Waste Akhtar Raza, Inspectors Solid Wastes Waheed Ullah, Iqbal Mubin and Saleem Raza reviewed the cleaning works of a drain at Landhi.

Akhtar Raza told Administrator that after the completion of cleaning work, a spray of anti-germs medicine will also be used on all streets and gutters, while removing of sewerage water was also underway. —APP
