It never acted against Pakistan in the wars of 1964 and 1971 when Pakistan was most vulnerable. It was most grateful to Pakistan during the resistance war against the Russian occupation. It has always shown that it's Islamic ldentity is stronger than national identity! As President Dawood once said we are joined at hip. Afghanistan President in imbroglio. A chaos war torn nation having 34 provinces, with hundreds of war lords are totally unruly dons and their cronies. The clerics of different areas further deteriorated the environment of peace and no decent civic or social life visible.Stll the Afghan Administration needs much time to establish writ at all provinces. A strong army, police, is not there. And untill then, Afghanistan must revive its traditional jirga system good or bad, but it can bring peace & harmony to great extent. Ofcourse President Ashraf Ghani is more than welcome to Pak, to see how effectively Pak got control and established writ over vast areas, which once considered to be never ungovernable. Afghanistan has changed completely after the US liberation and is no longer a medieval society as people are now better educated, aware of their civil rights and, well networked with the West and regional powers. Also, the US, NATO and its Afghan allies will never again allow the Afghan Taliban (AT) to use violence to gain power and then offer strategic depth or safe heavens to the countries or terrorists that supported it. Because of this, the future of Afghanistan seems to be, power sharing with good relations with all. Currently, the stumbling block is that Pakistan needs to feel secure with this arrangement before it allows its allies the AT to share power. Therefore it is most imperative that Ghani and Abdullah convince Pakistan that a pluralistic Afghanistan will not be detrimental to Pakistan.
