SUKKUR: Four persons were killed and more than 15 others injured when a passenger coach overturned after hitting a Qingqi rickshaw in the Manghar Phatak locality near Kashmore town along the Indus Highway on Sunday.

The coach was destined for Muzaffargarh (Punjab) after starting its journey in Karachi.

Two of the deceased, Akhtar Naich and Hakim Naich — residents of Kashmore — were riding the rickshaw while the other two, Ayub Sabir and Karam Ali — residents of Kot Addu — were said to be travelling in the coach. All of them died on the spot.

The bodies and injured were taken to the Kashmore Civil Hospital where an emergency was declared. Four of the critically injured victims, Mohammed Saleem, Mohammed Imran, Mohammed Irfan and Munir Ahmed were later referred to a major hospital in Rahim Yar Khan.
