FAISALABAD: A local court has cancelled the post-arrest bail applications of 12 people including five Chinese nationals accused of defrauding Christian girls by marrying and trafficking them to China.

The Federal Investigation Agency booked Zhang Xuerui, Wang Zibo, Ding Haojie, Wang Hao, Wang Yuzhao, Kashif Nawaz, Zahid Masih, Shan Haider, Suneel Masih, Yasir Saeed, Abdul Naveed and Qaiser Mahmood Bhatti on May 2 last on the charges of contracting marriages with Pakistani girls and trafficking them to China.

The accused filed bails before judge Rana Shahzad Ashraf who rejected these.

The FIA unearthed the scandal of Christian girls’ marriages with the Chinese. Following the interrogation of the accused, cases were also registered in other districts including Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Concluding the proceedings, the court mentioned that persual of the FIR revealed that the accused were taking Pakistani girls to China by contracting marriages and subjected them to sexual abuse, torture and selling of organs. A girl rendered an affidavit that she had contracted marriage with Wang Yuzaho but there was nothing to show marriage.

There are allegations of defrauding the Pakistani families by taking girls to China through marriages and subjecting them to sexual abuse, torture and selling of organs.

The counsel for the Chinese said the accused were not named in the case and they were innocent. He contended that the petitioners had been falsely implicated in the case and the offences against them required further probe.

ROBBERS: Enraged people caught and thrashed two robbers on Millat Road when they were escaping after depriving a man of valuables on Friday.

The footage of the torture went viral on the social media in which a man identified as Adnan had drawn Rs500,000 from a bank and armed men on a motorcycle stopped them and snatched the money and sped away. The robbers also fired shots in the air to avoid being caught.

However, both of them were caught a few meters away by people who gave them a sound beating. They recovered cash and a pistol from the robbers who were handed over to police.
