ISLAMABAD: Ministry of National Health Services has established a four-member committee which will give recommendations to improve quality of patient care at Polyclinic.

This was stated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza during a visit to Polyclinic.

The committee is headed by Executive Director Polyclinic Dr Shahid Hanif with Dr Mohammd Ayub, Dr Amanullah Khan and Dr Farooq Akhtar its members.

The special assistant said the committee had been constituted to fast track implementation of reforms in the hospital so as to improve the quality of patient care.

The committee will meet on weekly basis and ensure implementation of reforms in the hospital. The committee will also address the issue of patient load in the hospital.

Later, he visited the emergency department and different wards of the hospital to review the facilities being provided to the patients.

He spoke to patients and their attendants and inquired about the care being provided by the hospital. He said the purpose of his visit was to improve the health facilities being provided to residents of Islamabad in line with vision of the prime minister. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon announce major reforms in health sector.
